Singapore GP is inviting suitable candidates to be part of the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2019, Asia’s biggest and most highly anticipated motorsports event. To ensure an equally spectacular event on and off the track, we seek exceptional and motivated individuals to join us to fill the following positions:

CONTRACT POSITION(S)

Paddock Club™ Manager
(Client Services)

3 months contract:
July - September

As a key part of the Paddock Club™ team, you will be responsible for all aspects of client liaison for individual as well as corporate group bookings for the suites. This will also involve facilitating ticket personalisation and fulfilment, accreditation requirements and general updating of guest entitlements and schedule. You will be required to oversee the suite build process with the appointed contractor to agreed standards and timelines. In addition, you will be involved in service briefings and training sessions for the event.

A quick thinker and an effective problem solver, you should be able to work under deadline pressure and have proven project management capabilities to deliver an event to a world-class level.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years relevant working experience with a good track record in the hospitality or events industry, preferably on the client management side.
• At least a Diploma in Business Studies, Hospitality, Tourism or other related industry.
• Proven leadership, strategic decision-making and detailed planning skills.
• Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.
• Experience in managing build contractors to given standards and timelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
• Helpful, matured and meticulate with a friendly disposition.
• Able to work under pressure, quick thinker and solutions-driven.
• Willing to work long hours, on shift and some weekends.
• Proficient in the English language as well as in desktop computer applications (Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word).

Paddock Club™ Coordinator
(Client Liaison and Accreditation)

3 months contract:
July - September

Reporting to the Paddock Club™ Director, you will be working directly with Paddock Club™ clients on their ticketing and accreditation requirements for event crew. You will be required to liaise with third-party vendors and internal departments to ensure all information is clearly communicated and instructions are executed correctly. These include, but are not limited to, the coordination of last minute ticketing and accreditation requests for Paddock Club™ and ensuring all changes are communicated to all relevant team members in a timely manner.

In addition, you will be required to support the general Paddock Club™ operations onsite and prepare and update documentation for the management team.

An organised, process-driven individual with good interpersonal skills, you should be able to demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience with a good track record in the hospitality or events industry.
• At least a Diploma in Business Studies, Hospitality, Tourism or other related industry.
• Experienced in completion of detailed documentation in a pressurised, time sensitive environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills. Preferably helpful, matured and meticulate with a friendly disposition.
• Able to work under pressure, quick thinker and solutions driven.
• Willing to work long hours and some weekends.
• Proficient in the English language as well as in desktop computer applications (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word).

Suite Ambassadors

You are required to support the hospitality and customer service team in the Formula One Paddock Club™, Sky Suites, Twenty3, The Green Room as well as Lounge@Turn 3. You will need to manage all aspects of the hospitality experience within these suites, including F&B service, guest relations, client liaison and ensuring Singapore GP’s service standards are met. You will also be required to assist service staff when necessary. Successful applicants will receive excellent remuneration benefits and will be undergo a full training programme. Applicants should demonstrate excellent social and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 years of customer service experience (applicants from the hospitality and financial industry are welcome). Experience within the airline industry would be an advantage however by no means essential.
• The ability to deal with VIP guests at the highest level.
• The willingness to work long hours (expected working hours over a four-day period will total between 35 to 50 hours).
• Able to work for 5 days (20 to 22 September 2019) and attend up to 1 full day of training in August 2019.

Guest Support Officers

You are required to support the hospitality and customer service team in the Sky Suites, Twenty3, The Green Room as well as Lounge@Turn 3. Applicants should demonstrate excellent social and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This position is only open to Singaporeans / Singapore PRs. Successful applicants will receive excellent remuneration benefits and will be undergo a full training programme.

Key Requirements:

• At least 2 years of customer service experience (applicants from the hospitality and financial industry are welcome).
• The willingness to work long hours (expected working hours over a four-day period will total between 35 to 50 hours).
• Ability to work for 5 days over the race weekend (20 to 22 September 2019) and attend up to 1 full day of training in August 2019.

Marketing Intern

Reporting to the Director of Advertising and Marketing, you will be involved in various Marketing functions such as Advertising, Promotions, Production, Operations and Administration.

Under the guidance of the Marketing team, you will assist in the planning, execution and review of marketing campaigns (direct and digital) with the objective of building public awareness and driving ticket sales, as well as management of event functions during the Formula 1 Race week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintenance of website, eDMs, social media, and other digital platforms, including content generation, copy-writing and copy-proofing
• Assist the digital creative team in the creation, coordination, and distribution of campaigns and creative assets on social media
• Assist in promotional activities such as contests, including development of mechanics and fulfillment
• Coordinating with various internal department, external vendors and agencies to manage the flow of information and resources
• Support the preparation of logistics for race event
• Assist the team in managing pre-race on-ground activations, and duties and responsibilities during race week

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Able to commit to the role from April to October 2019
• Students majoring in Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of photo or video editing software (Photoshop, Final Cut Pro) or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
• Possess excellent communication skills, positive attitude towards learning and demonstrate a good knowledge of current and upcoming new media trends
• Strong interest in digital platforms including social media in a business context
