Born of an innate and explosive creativity, the steel band realised the capacity of the steel pan to go beyond the previously self-imposed musical boundaries of calypsos or boleros, becoming the first band to play the pan with two sticks. With improvised instruments, the Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars are undoubtedly pioneers of classical music played to the rhythm of calypso.
