Turn 10 Singapore Sling
The notorious Singapore Sling, once dubbed ‘the worst corner’ in F1® by Sebastian Vettel, claimed several victims including Kimi Raikkonen, Adrian Sutil and Kamui Kobayashi. The left-right-left chicane has since been modified to a flowing left hander.
Fireman Kovalainen
“I told Tony (Fernandes, team owner) and Mike (Gascoyne, chief technical officer) that they maybe need to pay me more, as I'm now a fireman as well." In 2010, Heikki Kovalainen turns firefighter in as his Lotus car bursts into flames.
Hulkenberg crashes out on first lap
In 2016, Nico Hulkenberg’s race ended as soon as it started when he was tagged by Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz, forcing his Force India into the wall at the race start.

2017 Start-line crash
In 2017, Max Verstappen’s race came to an early end as the Ferraris of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen closed in on the Red Bull in the first and only wet race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit at the race start.
Race marshals
More than 1,100 race marshals volunteer to ensure the smooth execution of each Singapore Grand Prix.
Drivers’ Parade and Opening Ceremony
One of the highlights pre-race on Sunday is the drivers embarking on their lap around the track in exquisite vintage cars for the Drivers’ Parade. Closer to the starting line, the national anthem and display of the Singapore flag during the Opening Ceremony marks a moment of pride for all Singaporeans.
Track blessing
A track blessing ceremony presided by representatives from the country’s 10 religious faiths (Baha’i faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism) take place every year to bless the event and pray for the safety of the drivers.
Podium celebrations
Only four drivers have won at the Marina Bay Street Circuit and all were World Champions or would go on to win the championship that year: Sebastian Vettel (5), Lewis Hamilton (4), Fernando Alonso (2), and Nico Rosberg (1).

The Pit Straight and Pit Building are at the very heart of the Singapore Grand Prix's action!
The Wharf Stage
Specially curated for Zone 1 patrons, The Wharf Stage has featured an eclectic mix of world-renowned artistes over the past 12 years including Hans Zimmer, Fatboy Slim, Duran Duran, and John Legend.
Padang Stage
The largest of 10 stages, the Padang Stage has featured the biggest international names, including Bon Jovi, Calvin Harris, Gwen Stefani, Maroon 5, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Robbie Williams.
Fireworks display by the Bay
With a massive capacity of 22,000 spectators, the Bay Grandstand has been the best spot for a picturesque photo op of the dazzling fireworks display.
Our Fans!
In 2019, the event drew 268,000 race fans to the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The total attendance over its 12 year history is 3,071,652 spectators. We are truly thankful to all our fans for making the #SingaporeGP a fabulous one!

Terms and Conditions
By accessing and submitting an entry to the “My SGP Stories: Rewind” campaign (the "Campaign") managed by Singapore GP Pte Ltd (the "Organiser"), you (the "User") will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions (these "Conditions").
These Conditions may be changed from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page.
This Campaign is organised, updated and maintained by the Organiser.
This Campaign is open to both local and international Users, and is open for submissions from 17 September 2020 to 31 March 2021. Multiple submissions / entries per User are allowed.
All submitted content for the Campaign such as the memories, photos, videos, text content, etc must be the original and unpublished work by the User and not from other sources.
The User must complete all the required fields of information details requested at the Memory Submission sub-page, and all information details and entries must be factually accurate, to the best of the User’s actual knowledge.
For all memories, photos, videos and any other contents submitted by the User, the User shall grant to the Organiser the perpetual, non-exclusive license to digitise, make available to third party(s) and/or members of the public for downloading, printing, and/or sharing on social media platforms, and shall grant to the Organiser the right to reproduce and republish the contents in any formats and platforms including print, broadcast, outdoor, electronic media and/or social media platforms without any fee payment, for the purposes of marketing and/or publicity by the Organiser.
The Organiser reserves the right to announce or publish the User’s name, image, photograph, likeness, and submitted content in print, broadcast, outdoor, electronic media and/or social media platforms without any fee payment, for the purposes of marketing and/or publicity by the Organiser.
When submitting a photo, your submission will be displayed on the Memory Map and Photo Montage upon approval within two working days.
When submitting a video or animated visual (e.g. GIF), your submission will be displayed on the Memory Map upon approval within two working days. However, the video or animated visual will not be displayed on the Photo Montage.
After each submission, you will be notified via email when your submitted memory is approved or rejected.
Contest element of the Campaign
Only entries submitted between 17 September 2020 to 31 October 2020, 11:59pm (Singapore time) will qualify for the lucky draw contest (the “Contest”).
This Contest is not open to employees or contractors of Singapore GP Pte Ltd (the "Organiser"), any person directly involved with the Organiser or the running of the competition, or their direct family members.
Submitted entries are to be accurately completed to be deemed as eligible. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any User who tampers with the submission process and the operation of Singapore GP website.
The Organiser accepts no responsibility for late, lost, garbled or misdirected entries however caused.
Only the winners will be contacted and notified of prize collection personally. Winners will be required to produce proof of identity prior to redemption of the prizes.
All prizes must be collected personally; unclaimed and uncollected prizes shall be forfeited.
Prizes are strictly not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other benefit in kind, and cannot be sold to a third party.
The winners of the grand prize (one pair of 3-Day Padang Grandstand tickets to the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2021) shall bear his/her own costs and expenses incurred and or/arising from his/her participation in the Contest and the Singapore Grand Prix race event. This includes any flight, accommodation and/or travel costs.
The dates of the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2021 will be announced at a later date.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse the winners’ request for hotel and/or flight arrangements under reasonable conditions.
The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize at any time without prior notice.
If the Organiser subsequently determines that a person is not eligible for the prize, for any reason whatsoever, the Organiser may at its’ discretion reclaim the prize and award it to such person(s) or deal with it in any manner as it deems fit.
In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by the Organiser will be final.
By participating in this Contest, Entrants agree that the Organiser shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from taking part in the Contest.
Notwithstanding anything in these Conditions, the Organiser reserves the right at any time in its absolute discretion to: (a) cancel or modify the Campaign and/or Contest; (b) determine and/or amendments; and/or amend, by addition to, deletion from or variation of, these Conditions without prior notification and all Users and winners shall be bound by such determination and/or amendments; and/or (c) substitute, withdraw or cancel any prize without prior notice and without having to disclose any reason therefore and without any payment or compensation whatsoever.
These Conditions are governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and the User submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore in the determination of any matter or dispute arising in connection therewith.
